looking for decent santoor

Can anyone recommend a source? I really don't want one of those cheap plywood knockoffs... tone is everything to me.

I live in the U.S., but will order from anywhere... thanks for your help.

It's been years but try to contact Ingo Renner in Del Mar, CA. I've seen his Santoor output - spectacular ! Boutique wood selection nicely braced and finished with sound like you want.

Hi,

The resource you have provided are very good and all the designs of santoors are very well created and so good as, my friend who is living LA want to have a good santoor and this resource will work the best for him as I will definitely let him know about this resource so that to facilitate himself.

Thanks!

I wrote to Ingo using the address on his blog, but haven't received a response yet...

I'll give it another try in a week or so.

Actually, Djinn, I don't. I know that in Britain it carries a connotation of, well, horny and inclined to act on the impulse.

If there's a different meaning in Hindi, I'd like to know what it is! (My name actually is Randy, so there's not a lot I can do about it.)

   The "English" word randy is one imported by
your British predecessors from India, where it has of course, the
same connotation.
Cheers Mate!
