Sarodiya Ron Wilson passed away-

Post by SitarMac » Sat Mar 03, 2012 2:45 am

There are many here on the forum who will have remembered Ron from the early 80's at the AACM. Ron was certainly a unique individual, but he truly sacrificed everything for the love of Sarod and ICM. He came to Atlanta in '89 and really was able to get a sizable group (Myself included) involved with ICM. He had been living in the mid-west for the last 15 years and had been playing Sarod consistently at Indian eateries and small gigs. He was involved musically with another musician named Brian Frantz whom he played in the "Suns of Tanzen". He died in his sleep the last week in January after fighting high blood pressure for sometime. Just letting some of you old schoolers know.
Just a listener now....Was fun while i played though!

RIP. Didn't know him but will look him up. Always sad to say goodbye to a musician.
