Scale length

Postby paul_brennan » Tue Jul 02, 2013 4:04 pm

Hi all,

Could somebody help me out with a question - what is the typical scale length of the sarangi? (For calculating string diameters)

Thanks, Paul

Mine range from14" to 15".
It depends how any particular instrument's bridge is set on the skin, then the upper bridge will be set so that half-scale is where the skin meets the fingerboard (or the other way around)-
