Advice For Sarangi

Post by sufimusician » Thu Dec 12, 2013 2:27 pm

Hello all, couple of years ago i had bought Sarangi from ebay. I think it is touristic and unplayable type. But, still i want to ask friends here about their idea. I have similar one that is on below the link. Doest it worth for repairing ?( adding bridge and gut strings ).May sound be ok ?

I'd expect it would be hard to know how it would sound, and how playable it would be. Especially make sure the body and belly are structurally sound enough to hold string tension if you do set it up- It looks to me as though it may have been made for decoration-

Sufi Bhai
It looks like some beautiful decoration. String it up & it will probably collapse.
