20 Stringed Indian "Beestaara Cello" for sale

Postby KingstonSound » Mon Jul 25, 2016 9:31 am

Have just posted my sarangi here but also looking to sell a very unusual instrument built by Alexandre Letellier of the Nouvelle Luthierie Labs. It's a 5 stringed acoustic cello with 15 sympathetic strings, known as the Beestaara Cello. I understand in the past there was a tradition of instruments like this in India (belbahar or swarlin??).

Again my photos were too large to drop in here, but I've made a listing with full details on gumtree:

I made a small sound clip here as well, it's a multi-layered recording all using this instrument:

Any questions about the instrument feel free to contact me, thanks.
