The film song Saanjh sabere, adharom pe tere

Postby Mohan Kartha » Fri Feb 02, 2007 9:21 pm

Does anyone know the raga behind the devotional song

Saanjh Sabere, Adharaom pe tere, Bas Tumharaa he naam, Saanvareeya.

I have not seen this included in some of the lists I am familiar with.

Thanks for any help.

Is there any place we can hear this song?
If there are just ''six tones'' in an octave [sic] then why have frets for tones that don't exist?

The song Saanjh Savere, adharom pe mere is from the film Madhavi and has been anthologized in The golden collection: bhajans from films published by Gramaphone Co. of India. In that edition, it is the fourth song on the second CD.

Thanks.
