Dear Brothers and Sisters.

There has been a considerable interest in film songs based upon classical music. This is a subject which lends itself well to discussions, especially in the area of rags. The filmwallas are famous (or at times infamous) for taking “liberties” with the rag. The result is that there are diverse opinions as to whether many classically inspired songs actually belong to a particular rag. We wish to hear your opinions.
