What happened to Pritam Singh?

Postby LudwigplaysLudwig » Fri Jan 27, 2017 12:55 am

Hello everybody,

in december, I ordered the book/DVD "Tabla Tutor", written by Pritam Singh, from his homepage: http://www.pritamsingh.co.uk/products.aspx

Payment was done via paypal.

The problem is: I did not receive any book or message. I tried to write an email but the inbox of Pritam seems to be full.

Does anybody know what happened to him?

Max

Hello,

I am also a beginner and am exploring various alternatives to learning tabla.
While I do have a local teacher I can learn from
and the majority advise from this board is to stick with teacher based learning,
I am also interested in exploring this tool by Pritam Singh
since it does not appear to be too expensive.

Please post your findings on this board
once you have successfully completed your transaction
so other beginners can benefit from this resource

Hello @singhhh_ap
The link is very informative.
He seems to be both well trained in Classical Music
and having a technical background whcih would equip him well
to create teaching material for this diital age.

What is your feedback regarding the book?
Would you recommend it to a beginner as supplementary material?

He has included the DVD where he plays all of his compositions listed in a book. It depends on your level but as long as you can play beginner Kaidas and basics are clear then this book should help you.

So, since I've just started, assuming I am regular with my riyaaz,
would you say after one year?

I would say go for it if you want to try it later. Keep it in your collection.
