Searching for Lehra MIDI files

Post by joshrudolph » Mon Mar 06, 2017 7:56 pm

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone knows where to download MIDI files of lehra loops in common taals and raags. Looking to put some hardware synths to work to keep the tonal cycle for me as I practice, and eventually allow me to do some on-the-fly manipulation of the loop and accompanying synthetic ambient dronage in a solo performance setting.

If I can't find any pre-made MIDI files, I'll get working on creating some (will share a link to them here if/when that day comes)... Seems like there must be a collection out there and available for download, but I've so far struck out with Google searches. Any ideas?

On my website there is a option to export MIDI files for the melodies you create, please refer below link

With each table [ Melody ] you will find 'Export MIDI' button.
You can write your own Lehera and export it as MIDI file. Google Chrome has better support for my site.

On the same page second Table [ Melody ] is a Teentaal Lehera.
Select checkbox of first row & Export it as MIDI file. In Right hand panel you can provide Tempo ad repetitions.

Let me know if you face any issue.

There is this software called Imitone that generates midi from vocal input which can be imported into a DAW. I was quite taken in by the idea initially (I am constantly humming leheras much to the chagrin of my family) as potentially something I could use to generate my own instrumental leheras. However, much like a lot of what I do, the idea has stayed at an idea stage and progressed no further.
My karma ran over your dogma
