Jhaptaal Laggi

Post by tabalia » Thu Apr 13, 2017 5:34 am

I would be very grateful if someone can tell me the bol of the Jhaptaal Laggi played in the link below. In my level of tabla knowledge, I am unable to figure it out that fits 10 beats and fingers transits smoothly. Please indicate if any TiTa is played reversed or Ta played on shahi/gab.

(between 4:10-4:25)

(directly at 4:10)

Any other laggi that sounds similar will also do fine.

Thank you in advance.

In my quick opinion it goes like this

Dha | Tra | k | Dhi | ti | t | Ge | Na | Dhi | t |
Ti | t | Dhi | t | Ti | t | Na | Ge | Tra | k |
Dhi | t | Ti | t | Dhi | t | Ti | t | Dha |- |
Ti | r | ki | t | Ta | - | Ti | r | ki | ta |

Thanks dhatitdha for your response and time to write the bol. I'll practice this and see how it goes.
